Free Thinks to Do

Found this on one of my student Droopy BLOGs - "The Genie" - i couldn't link it because his blog is blocked, so i copied and pasted it for my friends out in FLORIDA and VIRGINIA, enjoy and try these!!! The picture of Lea is just for fun!!!

THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Blink wildly and then close your eyes really tight for an interesting light show
(Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
See a variety of blobs, stars and flashes. Try to make out shapes and see if your subconscious is trying to send you a message (perhaps that funny shape is saying, 'send all your money to urban75.com'?)

See how long you can hold a note
(Amusement Potential: 4-20 minutes)
Not that much fun, but it sure passes the time. Play with a friend, or try to beat your own personal best. Inhale deeply and then try and make a noise for as long as you can. Earn extra points for making your partner laugh or ending on an amusing note.

Try to not think about penguins
(Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
This is especially hard, because by trying too much, you remember what you were trying to avoid thinking of. If you try too little, you end up thinking about penguins anyway.

Use your secret mind power
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Pick a passing by and try to use your mind power to command them do something, like drop their bag or knock into someone. The law of averages dictates that sooner or later one of your mind commands will come true, so you can convince yourself that you really have super human powers and waste even more time trying them out.

Pretend you're a robot
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
Walk down the street with mechanical movements, adding 'zzzzzt' sounds with each motion. Pretending to have a motor broken in, say, your left hand can add at least 30 seconds more entertainment.

Scratch yourself
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
Go ahead, scratch yourself now. Even if nothing itches, go ahead. Doesn't that feel pretty good?

Rate passers by
(Amusement Potential: 10-15 minutes)
Secretly award passers by marks out of ten as you go along, offering (unsaid) expert criticism over their clothing, hairstyle and footwear choices.

Repeat the same word over and over until it loses its meaning
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
Pick a random word out of a magazine and say it aloud to yourself until it becomes a meaningless set of noises.

Pinch yourself
(Amusement Potential: 1-3 minutes)
What is pain? Why is it unpleasant? There's nothing physical about it - it's all in your mind. Plus, after pinching yourself for awhile, boredom will seem nice next to being in pain.

Try to swallow your tongue
(Amusement Potential: 1-2 minutes)
There's not much to say about this one. It is possible, but really stupid.

Pretend to be a car
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Make appropriate revving noises in your head as you walk along and add a racing commentary as you pass strangers in the street. Use blinking eyes as indicators for extra authenticity.

Make Star Trek door noises
(Amusement Potential: 1-2 minutes)
Stand by an electric door to a bank or something and make that silly "Scccccccchwop" sound heard whenever people popped on to the bridge to hang with Captain Kirk.

Look at something for awhile, shut eyes, study after image
(Amusement Potential: 2-5 minutes)
Another great time waster. It takes about 30 seconds of staring to create an after image, and the image is then viewable for about the same length of time. Fun to combine this one with pushing on your eyes.

Get yourself as nauseated as possible
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Best achieved by looking straight up and spinning around. Try to be so dizzy you can't even stand up. This is also entertaining due to the "makes boredom seem a lot better" effect (see "Hurt Yourself").

Invent a weird twitch
(Amusement Potential: 5-10 minutes)
Adopt a bizarre twitch (e.g. flicking your head irregularly, twitching with eye or busting out sporadic cough noises) and try it out when you go shopping.

Make a low buzzing noise
(Amusement Potential: 15-30 minutes)
Hours of fun in libraries! Keeping a totally straight face and looking nonchalant, make a low pitch humming/buzzing noise and see who reacts.

Lunch With Chris Sligh and Sam

Well today was a sweet Lunch. I am usually not into the celebrity type person deal because i am Philipino, just kidding, but had lunch with a huge group from student ministries and we were honored with the presence of Chris Sligh. Yup!!! Josh Griffin asked if we wanted to go and have lunch with him and Chris. And i said ahhh naaa you guys go and hang, but then found out that he was Worship Leader in SC and a whole bunch of peoples were going. And i am always up for hanging with other Worship leaders. Awesome!!! The bummer thing is i didn't get into the group picture with everyone because i had to leave early for a appointment. (Photo). Go to find out that he actually moved to Tenn to "melt people's faces with Rock", which was an awesome comment. Totally awesome dude, i pray and hope that God uses him in cool way in the secular musical industry.

I think there was a moment when everyone at the table was embarrassed because most of you know that i am not a loud person, okay i am lieing, but i yelled something loud enough for the whole Islands Restaurant to be silent for about 3 seconds. It was awesome, but my table was embarrassed.

Also at lunch today Marky and Sam, 2 original Droopy's who came and ate lunch and it was great eating lunch with them. Love those boys!!!

I am a Loud Philipino and i can admit that

This Past Weekend in HSM and WILDSIDE

HSM

Awesome Awesome Awesome this past weekend!!! This Weekend both HSM and Wildside had student choirs which has been pretty new this past year for both ministries. The best part about this weekend was that our HSM students would run over to the Junior High tent and sing with them, and our Junior High would come over and sing with High School tent and sing with us, I was leading HSM this weekend. It worked out this way because Wildside had the majority of their songs in the front of their program, and High School had the majority of their songs in the tail end of program. It had so much energy, and it had so much heart for the Lord in worshiping him through music, AHHH love our students!!!

Let me tell you a "funny" about this weekend. During our 2nd service at 6:30pm on Saturday night, myself, the band, and our High School choir were singing with the Wildside band and choir. Now remember i am leading HSM this weekend, during the 6:30 service, either Wildside went longer in their program of music or our program in High School went faster. Anyways, my drummer, Guzzy, who is in HSM, who wasn't singing with us in the Wildside Tent, because he was sitting through the high school service, like every band student should, not just come and play music. Anyways, we were on the tail end of singing "Came to Rescue" (Hillsong United) and this was Nikki's last song and she decides to vamp on Hosanna at the end because the students in Wildside were worshiping, crap love our students. Anyway, i see Guzzy in the back waving at me, because i am on stage in the choir singing, and see that we need to be on stage in HSM, well i walk off the stage and slowly and quietly and so did the HSM students and hurried up into the other tent. Right as our High School pastor said amen, i happen to walk on stage from the back at that very moment, went and grabbed my guitar and proceeded in leading in worship. The funny thing is i was singing so hard in Wildside that i had a loss my breath for moment, but the ironic thing is, i was about to sing in HSM "Breathing the Breath" from Matt Redman. A FUNNY!!! Anyway, that is what happened. Here are the songs that we did this past weekend starting off our 6 weeks series 40 Days of purpose:

HSM

1234 (Fiest) - Great Secular song also great with a Choir, Banjo, acoustic guitar, bass, drum, and Saxophone, yes this past weekend we opened with a Banjo and a Saxophone.
Everything Glorious - (David Crowders) newest CD - Its awesome!!!
Breathing the Breath (Matt Redman)

Hosanna (Hillsong United)

Take it All (Hillsong United)

Wildside
Yes You have (Leeland)

Tell the World (Hillsong United)

Hosanna (Hillsong United)

Came to my Rescue (Hillsong United)

Droopy's 06 and Passion of the Christ

I know that many people have seen this movie and last night i watch the whole thing with my Droopy's 06 boys. I called all my parents of the boys to make sure we had permission to watch this movie because it is rated R, and you know its rated R for the graphic scenes in what Christ did for us. If you haven't seen this movie in a while watch it. We have to be reminded in what Christ has done for us and again i will going to quote Romans 1:12b - "When you think of what He has done for you is this to much to ask?" Speficially to live a life of Worship for Him.

WATCH IT!!!
And before you do read Hebrews 12:1-4 in the Message Version, NLT Version, and NIV
And Romans 12:1 NLT

When the Movie is Over just pray Thanks

This Past Weekend in HSM and WILDSIDE

Zack Led this Weekend in High School
We actually are trying a new thing in HSM where one worship leader leads a series at a time. So Zack lead for three week series on Conflict. We are trying this to bring continuity in our crazy rotation of bands and Worship Leaders.

However, we are heading into a 6 week series, but its too long to be leading all of them so we are spliting this one up. Anyways, the songs this past weekend:

A little Old School - Pour out my Heart - Vineyard
Amazing Love - Passion
Majesty - Delirious
Yes you have - Leeland

I did Wildside this past weekend and it was so celebratory in all services and it was just an awesome time of worship.

What I've Done - Linkon Park - I actually did not sing this or play this at all, it was all the Junior High Dudes and Smitty who lead it and they rock it out and the crowd loved it and therefore the energy of the room was up all night.

Worship Set - All Hillsong UNited
Take it All
From God Above
To the End of the Earth
The Stand

Ahh i can't get enough of the United songs, there very encouraging and easy to learn and easy to teach the junior highers.

Worship at Saddleback San Clemente Church

So this weekend we were privedged to lead worship at the San Clemente Saddleback Campus.

This was my Saturday Crew!!!

Sunday Morning Crew!!!

Top 10's of Saddleback San Clemente
10 - Driving the 12 Passenger Van, HA HA HA HA love driving that VAN!!! Also coming in at number 10, Stooplapoop made one of those flip things out of paper where you pick a number and a letter and stuff, i have no idea what crap its called, but the final answer to them was "Your going to marry Virus".

9 - During the message, we were to walk on stage and get ready during the prayer, well during Pastor Rick speaking he started to pray and so we started getting ready on stage. However, there was still another 10 minutes after this prayer and so pretty much this was the wrong time to be on stage. Luckily we were all wearing in Ear Monitors and so we hear Tom Tom speak into the monitors, you are not suppose to be up there yet, you have 4 seconds to get of the stage, it was awesome we all moved like ninjas!!!

8 - Forgetting a keyboard stand for the Keyboard, so we found 2 trashcans and flipped them over to make a stand, however, there was something rotten in it and when we turned it over it made the stage smell like rotten milk. It was nasty.
.

7 - Doughboy telling Stooplatoop "Get your Hair off me." You had to be there for that one!!!

6 - While Eating Del Taco on Saturday - Everyone pretty much bought a value meal and then after we all done, i asked everyone are you all still hungry, everyone said YES!!! So i bought 10 more chicken soft taco's and some fries and the next day we were all hurting pretty bad. I wanted to go back the next day for lunch, but the band said NO!!!

5 - Poncho forgetting to turn on her ear monitors and singing Hosanna for the offering and wondering why in the world she couldn't hear herself the whole time.

4 - Watching the Jake, Tom, Luke, and Randy in action at San Clemente Campus.

3 - This band that i played with on Sunday is the band that will be playing with Tim Timmons for the Group Conference in FEB, however, i got the chance to play with them to see how they all gel together, and they did of course, AWESOME!!! Proud of those Kids.

2 - Another Awesome Time of Worshiping through music with the San Clemente PEPS.

1 - So i said to the students when we go to Ohio i hope that i can take you to a Cracker Barrel and Virus asks with all seriousness "Where are you going to take us to, Crap in a Barrel". Ya i laughed for about 4 hours.

Sorry I Forgot: HSM and Wildside Music and Thoughts

Zack Lead this weekend one of our High School Staff who is in Charge of REACH!!!
He is awesome!!! He has only been on staff for about 3 months or 4 months. I really don't know. Just recently that's all i know. lol...

Here are the songs he lead with this weekend!!!
HSM
Opener to break down walls - Misery Business/Paramore
Rain Down/Delirious
Grace/Phil Wickham
Always/Forever
Thank You for hearing me/David Crowder

WILDSIDE
Nikki and Ryan (High School Students) kinda their first time leading.
They both can sing awesome, but this is my favorite part and that is teaching them how to lead!!! How to engage a crowd, how to paint a picture of who we are singing about and why, and inviting the their friends and congregation to join them. So it was a great learning moment that Worship Leaders need to learn how to talk in a mic and not just fumble through, but practice what they say and even write it out like preacher would write out his notes. Love those 2.

Just a note that as i have observed Wildside this weekend (I was playing drums, i am not that good but still it was fun) I was encouraged from Tim Davis our vocal coach at Saddleback, and mentioned in our staff meeting with Creative Arts that i love how much our Students are worshiping through music, and Tim made a comment that he loved how the students just worship and he said that wouldn't happen unless it was intentional. And so i think to myself even more and pray and hope that i would be even more intentional how these student worship God, not just through music, but with there lives. GOD IS AWESOME!!! So that is question i have been pondering: How am i intentionally teaching these students What, How, Where, When, Who, and Why we Worship?

I don't know how to explain it, but even when Nikki fumbled through her words in trying to engage the crowd, her heart was 150 there, and when they started singing i know that Junior Highers didn't care what she said because the passion she expressed in singing Hosanna i know know brought a huge smile to God and Honor. Ah i am not an emotional dude, but truly to see the Wildsiders sing out and like they did Hosanna and just worship HOLY CRAP!!! IT WAS AWESOME!!! I just pray that what they express through song on the weekend they also live their lives with as much passion for him. Anyways that was a tangent. I pray that every junior higher and high schooler would just get it. How awesome God's love is!!! How awesome his Love is for us!!! What he did for us we in essence we don't deserve anything, but Him dieing on the cross he gave us everything.

Anyways here are the songs - Awesome!!! Thank You Lord!!!\
